Intro to Freshwater Fishing & Local Aquatic Life

Duration: 2 Hours | Ages: Upper Elementary, Middle, & High School

Dive into the fundamentals of freshwater fishing while exploring the local aquatic ecosystem. Students will learn safe and ethical fishing practices, basic knot tying, and casting techniques, all while identifying common fish species and understanding their habitats. This hands-on session combines skill development, environmental observation, and real-world problem-solving to create an engaging, educational outdoor experience.

Experience the art and science of fly fishing in a guided, educational setting. Students will practice overhead casting, explore aquatic insect life cycles, and learn to read moving water to locate fish. This session combines hands-on skill development with scientific observation, encouraging students to engage thoughtfully with their environment while learning safe and ethical fly fishing practices.
